I have bought 5 of these kits and I’m very happy with them. They are light and powerful little drills.

I am a fan of nearly everything Milwaukee. I have several Milwaukee cordless tools. This combo kit however left me wondering who wrote the advertising. I like the size, the weight, the feel, the fuel gauge, and the idea of the built in led for lighting the work area. My appreciation of these 12v LITHIUM-ION tools pretty much stops there. Heavy Duty? The drill spins at a low rpm that it is very slow to drill a 1/8″ dia hole 1-1/2 to 3 inches deep in wood let alone anything harder. The impact driver will not drive a 3″ small diameter sheet rock style screw though 2 2×4’s. The flashlight only works after carefully finessing the position of the light so that it makes contact with the spring contact that the bulb rests against. One more small thing about the drill and driver. The built in LED for the work area does not illuminate the work area. The light is not aimed where the tool contacts the work.
I had to return the combo kit as it does not perform as the mfg says it does. If you’ve had bigger more powerful Milwaukee tools you will not be able to go back to the M12 system. It just does not pack the punch. I knew it would not be as powerful as my 14.4v Ni-cad or not even close to my 28v li-on tools but this M12 is not even close to as powerful as a standard 12v Nicad drill/driver.
I’ve given up on the M12 system but not Milwaukee cordless tools.

this review is only for the impact. reviewer mike is right, impact is no where near stated torque of 850 in/lbs and struggles to drive 3″ drywall screws. i also have burnt out the impact mechanism in just two months.
the tool is out for warranty repair.
