Milwaukee is known for their reciprocators, which is why I purchased this one for a basement remodel. I have used it about 6 times thus far. 5 successes and one failure. I attempted to cut up inch thick fiberglass ceiling tiles about 5 at a time (for easier disposal) – the blade got stuck in the tiles repeatedly. I wouldn’t have thought that w/this maching. It has cut off nails and 2X overhangs w/o much effort. Good saw, but not a true saws-ALL:)

The saw itself is great – powerful and gets the job done. The product description said it came with two blades. Mine only came with one, a metal blade, so I had to go out to Home Depot and buy the blade I needed. OK, a minor inconvenience, but it added several bucks to the price and I do get irritated when the product I receive doesn’t match its description. The price seemed excellent for the 11 amp model with case – just don’t expect to be able to use it until you do some more shopping.

The saw works as advertised, but the red rectangular plastic milwaukee sawzall box is too narrow – I cannot put the saw back in the box without remove the blade. Older Milwaukee saws allowed me to do this. It seems M. feels it is “unsafe” to stow the saw with the blade still on it. So far only a minor annoyance.
Word to the wise: its easy to cut through stuff fast with this sawzall. Make sure you know what is behind what you are cutting before you start. Hitting a water line or a live electrical line is not fun.

Most reciprocating saws now feature quick blade change mechanisms. Almost all have adequate amps. The difference in saws is whether the blade flops around in the quick change mechanism. Milwaukee holds blades firmly. Oddly, so does the inexpensive, battery powered Skill recip saw. I returned another brand with a flawed grip. Try before you buy.
